WE DO EVENTS | More Info
Welcome back to the Files, my honeys. Episode three. I’d love to tell you I’ve been living a quiet, mysterious little life since last month, but that would be a lie and we don’t do those here. Grab a drink, get comfy the tea is flowing through my veins and I’m putting pen to paper.
I’ll be honest, the gossip train hasn’t exactly been following me around lately, so I’m really having to rack my brain here. But the one thing I have NOT been able to shut up about? Late nights are coming to Flour Child. And as far as goss goes that’s a big one, because late nights and going out are so back. Staying in had its little moment. That moment is over. So, like any good messenger of the people, I’m telling you first.
What can you expect from us and our late nights, aside from the best time ever?
Saturdays, St Kilda, late night bottomless from 10 ’til 12, yes, you read that right, bottomless at an hour that has no business being bottomless. And if you’re more of a graze and go situation, à la carte is running at both venues, so Richmond, you’re not left out
It’s flash, it’s a little bit feral, it’s everything going out was supposed to be before we all got tired and started romanticising an early night and face masks. Mark your Saturdays from here on out, as BUSY at Flour Child.
LAUNCHING 4TH OF JULY IN STKILDA & 11TH OF JULY IN RICHMOND

This take has been keeping me up at night. I think about it five times a day, and girl, if we’re one and the same, you probably do too.
Shows need to have season two ready to go by the time season one launches. And if you’re catching my drift, our minds are going to the exact same place: Off Campus. Glorious, glorious hockey boys. But this goes for every show, I know they sometimes have to hedge for the fact things flop. Fine. But did anyone seriously think they could remake a BookTok classic, cast five outrageously handsome men who play hockey, and NOT hook the girlies? Be so for real. Greenlight season two. Like pronto!!!
And on this, I’m happy to compromise and wait just 6 months but waiting a whole year is just too much.
Trends circle the internet about as fast as my savings goals circle the drain (often). Staying up to date these days means being chronically online — and I mean 8hr+ screen time, no notes. But the latest one to catch my eye? Dot cakes. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE.
A small cake, in a cup, smooth frosted top, sprinkles — that’s the whole thing. The dot cake. It sounds deceptively simple, and that’s kind of the point. The bakery behind them is The Dot Cake out of Long Island, stocked at Butterfield Market in NYC, where they’re apparently moving around 800 of these a week. Eight. Hundred. A week. For a cake in a cup.
Reviews keep coming back to one word: nostalgia. Think Betty Crocker, childhood birthday parties, that exact frosting-to-cake ratio your mum nailed once and never again — packaged up like a pint of ice cream and eaten with sprinkles galore.
Is it giving much? Not really. Did I post myself making one and cop a hate comment? Yes. Is the internet absolutely feral for it anyway? Obviously. What can I say, we’re creatures of habit.

Ok and like always keeping my trap shut is kind of difficult, especially when im sitting on top secret info all the time (my life’s a movie). But I’m sitting on something right now that is physically painful to keep to myself #dramaqueen.
All I’m going to say is: a fresh ride is coming to Flour Child. Pulling up in style is about to be a very real, very actual thing. Forget your mum dropping you off. Forget your $45 Uber. This is as my boss would say, NEXT LEVEL.
Stay tuned
Anyhoot my honeys, that’s all from me for this episode of the Files. See you next month.
Same time next issue.
And if you need somewhere to debrief it all, you know where we are. Mwah x
