WE DO EVENTS | More Info
Welcome back to the Files, where nothing is confirmed but everything is true.. Grab a coffee, or a banana one if you’re contractually obligated. Let’s get into it baddies x
Confession: none of us in this office are Swifties, not one. Five Marketing Managers, zero friendship bracelets. But I just came back from a holiday with five certified Swifties and I have been fed the lore intravenously for two days straight, so as my public service to you, here’s the goss.
Taylor married Travis on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, and the venue wasn’t just decorated, it was renovated into an actual fairytale, think full indoor garden, then a castle staircase craned in like it was no big deal. Adam Sandler officiated, which is either extremely funny or the most normal thing about the entire event. They wore custom Dior. They donated $26 million to charity on the way through.
Is this hospitality news? No. Is it food or beverage adjacent in any way? Also no. Did I feel a professional obligation to report on it anyway after two days of forced immersion? A girls got to let it out somewhere.
P.s none of this info is confirmed, purely rumoured x
It’s no wedding for the ages but if you need somewhere to host your hens, I may know a place (Flour Child, obviously).
There is a very specific kind of woman who, without being asked, without a vote, without so much as a “should we get”, just orders the fries for the table.
They arrive and it’s like heaven above sent them to you, but really they sent you your friend. If you’re this girly pop, you my friend are legend material and I love you, Flour Child loves you.
Who would I be to not offer my thanks. She’s the moment, she clocks that everyone’s had a few drinkie poos and are in need of some solid carbs to soak them up, because someone has to hold this friendship group together and honestly? It might as well be done with hot chips.
And because we think in “girls world” terms we are offering our viral Amsterdam fries on arrival at our 2:30pm Bottomless Brunch Session.
Your welcome x
Vogue said it, I’m reporting it: banana milk coffee is the new It Girl order and look, the data backs it up, this isn’t just a fever dream from one TikTok barista. Banana-flavoured search terms are exploding, Starbucks is quietly testing banana cold foam, and it all traces back to Korean banana milk, a genuinely iconic beverage that’s been big in Korea since the 70s. We’re just late to the party, as usual.
And if you know, you know: the banana girlies are never just banana girlies. Same demographic that’s demanding the return of Macca’s lime milkshake (bring it back), still holding black jelly beans as an unpopular hill to die on, and will fight you over milk bottle lollies. It’s a whole flavour personality. Nostalgic, a bit weird, but these girlies are deeply confident in their choices.
Expect to see it on Melbourne menus within the next couple of months, cold foam before syrup, syrup before anyone actually ferments a banana in-house.
Should we bring a banana espresso cocktail to Flour Child?
Let me ask my boss x
And that’s Episode 4.
As always, we don’t make the trends, we just report on them slightly before everyone else does. See you next month. Never forget you are. Mwah x
