Here’s everything you need to know about visiting Flour Child St Kilda!

  1. where are you located and how do I get there:

We are located on Acland street. Our street address is: Level 1/77 Acland St, St Kilda VIC 3182

How to get here: 

By car:

There are a number of different parking options available:

Chaucer street – runs parallel behind Acland Street and there are a number of four hour free parking options on this street. Street parking is also available Monday to Friday.

Belford Street – is very close by and also have some free parking options available

Shakespeare Grove – has 2 hour free parking until 6pm and then is paid after that but it is right across the road from Flour Child.


 If you are coming by train you will want to get on the Sandringham line. This will drop you off at Balaclava station. It is a short 15minute walk from there to Acland Street or you can catch a tram.


There are a few different tram lines that you can catch to Acland Street in St Kilda. The most popular are probably route 96 or 16. Please visit the yarratrams.com.au  to plan your journey.

Once you arrive to Acland Street, we are located above Sister of Soul. Our entrance is right next to 7 Apples gelato shop.


2. What are your opening hours?

Monday: CLOSED

Tuesday: 3pm till approx. 12am

Weds: 3pm till approx. 12am

Thursday: 3pm till approx. 12:30am

Friday: 3pm till approx. 3am

Saturday: 12pm till approx. 3am

Sunday: 12pm till approx. 1am


 3. Can we bring a cake and is there a cakeage fee?

You are welcome to bring one celebration cake per booking/event. Please ensure it is clearly labelled with the booking name and any specific storage instructions.

We charge a cakeage fee of $8 per person to cover the storage, handling, cutting, plating and serving of your cake to your guests.


4. Do you have live music?

Yes, generally we do have a DJ in the venue on Friday and Saturday nights as well as a DJ or live music on some Sunday afternoons. The artists and times do vary week to week. Please ask us when booking.


5. What type of music do you play?

We generally play progressive house/pop/funk


6. Are under 18 year old’s allowed in the venue?


You may be allowed on the licensed premises if you are in the company of a responsible adult.

A responsible adult is defined as a person who is 18 years or older and is:

  • the minor’s parent, step-parent, guardian, grandparent, or
  • the minor’s spouse who is over the age of 18 years.
  • There is no exceptions to this requirement


7. Do you allow BYO alcohol?

Flour Child is a fully licensed venue and cannot allow any BYO food or beverages, with the exception of one celebration cake.


8. Do you cater to dietary requirements?

Yes, we cater to most dietary requirements. We unfortunately do not yet have gluten free pizza bases. We do however have other alternatives on our menu. If you have a particular dietary requirement that you need catered for please do not hesitate to check with us.


9. Do you split the bill?

We have order at table capabilities which allows our patrons to scan a QR code and order and pay for their own meals and beverages.


10. How long will you hold a table if i am running late to my reservation?

Normally, we can only hold a table for 15 minutes after the booking time. However please let us know if you are running late then we will hold the table for as long as we can. The time we hold will depend on any other later reservations for that table or space. Please give us as much notice as possible as we do not want to disappoint you.
