Traditionally, hats or fascinators are worn towards the right side of your head and – depending on the style – tilted slightly forward. There aren’t many opportunities to wear one these days, so when its acceptable we go all out!

The classic and traditional fascinator, when purchase by a proper milliner they can cost anywhere between $300 – 3,000.

Our top tips
- Be sure to wear something makes you feel comfortable. There is no point in wearing a huge floppy hat that impairs your vision whilst sitting inside all day or putting
- Rather than overfilling your head with bobby pins, use a little hairspray to secure the headwear in place.
- Position fascinators to the side for a dramatic/traditional effect – if anybody picks up for not wearing it properly then tell them where to go ?
- Consider your face shape. If you have an oval-shaped face, choose fascinators with more width to add fullness. For the round faces, large hats work perfectly! For square-shaped faces, add height with a tall fascinator.
